Rep. Denny Heck to Host U.S. Service Academy Nights on April 1 and 7 for Washington’s 10th Congressional District Students

LACEY, Wash. – Rep. Denny Heck invites South Sound students interested in pursuing an education at a United States Service Academy to attend an information session with Service Academy representatives on Wednesday, April 1, and Tuesday, April 7.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about obtaining a Congressional nomination to one of the U.S. Service Academies and will meet liaisons from the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

These informational events are recommended for high school and middle school students who reside in Washington’s 10th Congressional District. This year, two U.S. Service Academy Information Nights will take place in the South Sound to accommodate different schedule and location preferences. 

WHO:  Representative Denny Heck and his staff, representatives from each U.S. Service Academy, interested students, and parents.

WHAT: Information on how to apply to U.S. Service Academies and obtain a Congressional nomination.

THURSTON COUNTY NIGHT:  Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall Council Chambers (420 College Street SE, Lacey, Wash., 98503).

PIERCE COUNTY NIGHT:  Tuesday, April 7, 2015, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at William Factory Small Business Incubator (1423 E 29th Street SE, 2nd Floor Atrium, Tacoma, Wash., 98404).
