Congressman Denny Heck Opens District Office

On his first day in office, Congressman Denny Heck has officially opened his district office. The early and prompt opening reflects Congressman Heck’s desire to keep his focus on his home district.

Congressman Heck and his district staff will use the office to meet with constituents who have concerns about pending legislation or who need assistance in dealing with federal agencies. Roel van der Lugt, formerly of Congressman Adam Smith’s office, will serve as District Director.

The office is located on the third floor of Lacey City Hall. Mayor Virgil Clarkson commented that “the location of Congressman Heck’s District Office in Lacey’s City Hall is a proud example of the way we can make government – at both the local as well as the national level – more open and accessible to our citizens. This partnership will be of great value to our community.”
