WASHINGTON, D.C., June 10, 2016 – Today the Senate approved the Indian Trust Asset Reform Act, to restore tribal sovereignty and give Tribes control of their trust asset management plans. The bill, cosponsored by U.S. Representatives Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) and Denny Heck (D-Wash.), passed the U.S. House of Representatives in February.

Students of All Ages Welcome to Submit Valentines
For the fourth annual Valentines for Veterans Drive, Congressman Heck is encouraging students of all ages around the South Sound to pen and design valentines for local veterans. The cards are one way to say to veterans, “thank you for your service.”
Congressman Heck and his office will then deliver the cards to veteran organizations on Valentine’s Day.
